| The Handbook of Best Practice replaced the Code of Conduct and is intended to promote compliance with ethical standards. | |
| Why do the members have to sign the Declaration every five years? | |
| In signing the Declaration they promise to observe ethical standards, such as those set out in the Handbook of Best Practice. | |
| What happens if a member does NOT sign the Declaration? | |
| The member can be expelled from the SFAA. | |
| What happens if holders of the international CIIA or CIWM diplomas do not sign the Declaration? | |
| Just like any other member, they are expelled from the association. Apart from this, they lose the diploma and forfeit their right to use the relevant letters after their names. | |
| What happens if it becomes known that a member has violated the guidelines in the Handbook of Best Practice? | |
| The member is expelled from the Association. | |
| What role does SFAA play in awarding the diplomas from the AZEK courses? | |
| SFAA is the organisation that the Swiss Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology (OPET) has recognised as the examining and awarding body in relation to the diplomas. | |
| Why is it SFAA and not AZEK that organises the exams and awards the diplomas? | |
| The training centre that offers the courses cannot be the examining body at the same time. Recognition as an examining body is subject to strict guidelines, rigorously monitored by the Swiss Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology (OPET). | |
| What will happen if I do not pay the annual subscription? | |
| Members who do not pay the subscription after two reminders are expelled from the Association. Those members who hold the CIIA or the CIWM forfeit their diplomas. | |
| Can I resign from the association? | |
| Yes, the secretariat of the SFAA must be given written notice of resignation for the following year by no later than the end of December. Important note: holders of an international diploma (CIIA or CIWM) forfeit their diplomas if they leave the association and are no longer entitled to use these letters after their names. | |
